ISC EARNS NATIONAL SAFETY AWARD
Baton Rouge, Louisiana – April 30, 2012 – The National Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) announced that ISC of Baton Rouge maintained a safety record that earned the company recognition in the Specialty Contractor category of ABC’s National Safety Excellence Awards. “ABC is proud to honor ISC with a National Safety Excellence Award for demonstrating an extraordinary commitment to safety and outstanding safety performance,” said Michael D. Bellaman, ABC President and CEO. “ISC has truly shown a dedication to becoming one of the leaders for the industry by striving to create the safest work environment possible for its employees.”
The National Safety Excellence Award winners were selected from ABC member firms that achieved Diamond and Platinum status in ABC's Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) program. During the selection process, national safety winners were judged on self-evaluation scores, lost workday case rates, total recordable rates, and interviews conducted by members of ABC’s National Environment, Health & Safety Committee.
ISC is an industrial instrumentation, electrical and heat-tracing company offering construction, maintenance and engineering services.

ST. BERNARD COMPANY WINS USACE SAFETY AWARD
NEW ORLEANS, LA (March 20, 2012) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New Orleans District has awarded the Superior Safety Performance Award for 2011 to SOUTHERN SERVICES & EQUIPMENT, INC. (SSE) and their partner, THE MCDONNEL GROUP (TMG), for safety performance at the Orleans Parish Pump Station No. 13 project. The construction team was presented the award on March 2, 2012 when the Mississippi Valley Branch of the AGC hosted its annual banquet.
