ABC DAY AT THE CAPITOL (06/05/2009)

The ABC Day at the Capitol was held on May 19, 2009. Approximately 55 members from both the Bayou and Pelican chapters attended the Legislative Briefing and heard remarks from Senator Jack Donahue and the 2009 ABC National Chairman, Jerry Gorsky, about issues pertaining to both state and national policies and politics.

A legislative reception was held that night and was well attended by ABC members. Unfortunately, an opportunity to visit with a large number of legislators did not happen becaseu the House of Representatives did not adjourn until the reception nearly over and two committee meetings at the Capitol were still in progress when the reception concluded.
