Harrah’s Hotel was the site for the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) New Orleans/Bayou Chapter officer installation on Friday, January 11, 2008.
Dana Stumpf of Durr Heavy Construction and Gentilly Landfill was named chairman of the New Orleans/Bayou Chapter of ABC. She was sworn in at the annual officer installment ceremony by Chapter Attorney Phil Shuler of Chaffe McCall, LLP.
Stumpf replaces outgoing chairman Jim Lewis of Landis Construction Co., LLC.
Also taking the oath of office was the 2008 Executive Committee and Board of Directors. These members are: Chair-Elect Joe Montagino of Sugarland Construction Management, LLC; Vice-Chair Rob Wooderson of Gibbs Construction, LLC; Secretary Andy Anderson of King Company, LP; Treasure Vincent Giardina of LeGlue & Company, CPAs; Jim Breland of Barriere Construction Co, LLC; Nick Danos of Broadmoor, LLC; John Donahue of DonahueFavret Contractors, Inc.; Nathan Kernion of Cycle Construction; Mark Lee of Volute, Inc.; Dwayne Mayeux of Mayeux’s A/C & Heating, Inc.; Robert McCay of Interior/Exterior Building Supply; Frances Roemer of FH Myers Construction Corp.; Arthur Theriot of Satterfield & Pontikes Construction Group, LLC and Don Thurlow of Walton Construction, LLC.
The ceremony also honored several members for their dedication over the past year.
Member of the Year honors were bestowed upon Frances Roemer of FH Myers Construction Corp. for her efforts in membership recruitment. Because of her hard work, the Bayou Chapter was recognized nationally with the Triple Crown Award, Membership Growth Award and Retention Award.
State Senator-Elect Jack Donahue of DonahueFavret Contractors, Inc. was awarded the Person of the Year Award for his tireless efforts in making sure the construction industry is represented at the state government level.
CA-PAR Electric, Inc. was recognized as the New Member Company of the Year for volunteering their time and resources to various committees and programs for the betterment of our organization.
Cory, Tucker & Larrowe, Inc. was recognized as the Member Company of the Year for their outstanding participation with events and committees.
