ABC Bayou Chapter hosted its 2008 High School Craft Competition on Friday, April 25, 2008. Although there were only eight participates representing Amite and Ponchatoula High Schools, it was very successful. The students participated in Fillet Weld and Open V-Butt Weld with prizes awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
Fillet Weld Winners from Ponchatoula High School:
1st Place – Dakota A. Naramore
2nd Place – Cody J. Martin
3rd Place – Skylar C. Thibodeaux
Open V-Butt Winners from Amite High School:
1st Place – Dustin R. Sparks
2nd Place – Cody M. Crouch
3rd Place – Eric M. Battalora
All winners received an award certificate and the following prizes: 1st place received a set of tools and $150 check; 2nd place winners received a grinder and $100 check; and 3rd place winners received an ice chest and $50 check.
