LANDIS SET TO MOVE BACK TO ORLEANS PARISH (08/14/2008)

Landis Construction Co., LLC is very pleased to announce its return to Orleans Parish!  The original offices for Landis Construction Company were located on Prytania at Leake Avenue.  After being there for seventeen years, a new office was built in the Southport area of Old Jefferson to which the company relocated in 1973.

The move back to Orleans Parish illustrates Landis’ commitment to New Orleans as the company restores and renovates 8300 Earhart Boulevard as its new headquarters.  The three-story, red brick building was originally built in 1911 as a chewing gum factory for the American Chicle Company and is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.

Landis’ occupancy, which will begin at the end of 2008, will mark the first time the building will be used primarily for office space.  Landis is very excited about this move and continuing its more than 50-year history of building in this city and region.
