Andrea’s in Metairie was the site of the first Women’s Forum luncheon of 2008. With over 85 ABC members in attendance, guest speaker Vicki Milazzo spoke on the “12 Secrets of Enterprising CEOs You Can Use to Get the Career and Life You Want Now.”
Milazzo is a nationally acclaimed keynote speaker and a member of the National Speakers Association. In 1982, The New York Times credited Milazzo with pioneering the legal nurse consulting profession.
The Women’s Forum Committee will be hosting a three-part learning series that focuses on building communication skills.
Communication skills are the infrastructure of our success. Our personal style, language and ability to manage difficult situations will determine the strength of our careers. If you ask yourself: “Are my team members and myself able to effectively communicate, resolve conflict and negotiate within the company and with our strategic partners?” and the answer is no, you should attend this series of workshops.
The first class is scheduled for February 13th and is titled “The Framework – Your Personal Profile System.” In this class, you will discuss how your personal profile system can open the door to greater understanding of yourself and others and how it plays a significant role in understanding how to listen and identifies potential areas of conflict with others.
The other sessions will continue the discussion started in February. The dates for the next two installments are March 12th and April 9th.
