The Bayou Chapter held its annual Excellence in Construction (EIC) Awards banquet yesterday, November 5th. This banquet honors the industry’s top projects and give the members an opportunity to shine. This year had the largest number of entrants with 33 projects being submitted. Last year there were 12 entries with 16 in 2006.
This year’s entries featured a wide range of projects from churches and synagogues, converted department stores, plants, military sites and radio towers in swamps, just to name a few. In addition to the EIC awards, 13 member firms received the safety STEP award. This award recognizes those members that take extra steps to ensure that safety is a top priority at all times.
A complete list of those recognized last night is listed at the back of this issue of the Bayou Brief. A special thank you to the staff of the Bayou Chapter for executing a fabulous event and to the three sponsors: Bowen, Miclette & Britt of Louisiana (Lead sponsor); Gibbs Construction, LLC and Landis Construction Company, LLC.
