Industrial Specialty Contractors (ISC) has been honored by the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA) for exceptional safety performance in 2008. ISC received the “1st Place GBRIA Contractor Safety Excellence Award” at the GBRIA’s Annual Safety Banquet in Baton Rouge on October 16th.
The award recognizes ISC’s leadership and exceptional 2008 safety record while working at some of the area’s largest industrial facilities. ISC was nominated for the award in the large-contractor category by plant managers at Marathon, Shell, Williams, Motiva and Rubicon.
This is the sixth consecutive first-place award for Industrial Specialty Contractors, and the firm’s ninth such honor in the award’s 12-year history. Malcolm Graves, ISC Corporate Safety Director, credits the firm’s dedicated craftspeople and strong management support. “ISO management has a real passion for the safety, health and welfare of its associates,” says Graves, “and the teamwork on every job site is remarkable. I feel blessed and fortunate to be part of such a positive safety culture, truly the best I’ve seen in industry.”
More than 50 area industrial manufactures belong to the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance, which was founded in 1970.
