There is still time to attend the first Programs Committee luncheon of the year, featuring Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand. The kick-off luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, February 21st at Austin’s Restaurant in Metairie.
Sheriff Normand plans to speak to the members about his vision for Jefferson Parish. Additionally, he will discuss the post-Katrina crime problem in Jefferson Parish, what his department is doing to resolve these problems and how he plans to make Jefferson Parish a safer place for its visitors and citizens. He will be available for questions at the end of his speech.
If you register by Friday, February 15th, the cost is only $35 per person. After this date, the cost is $45. The menu will include a salad, choice of entrée and dessert. You have your choice of either garlic rosemary chicken or crawfish crabcakes.
Also, there is still time to sponsor the Crawfish Boil on March 27th at Southport Hall. This event, scheduled from 5pm-7:30pm, is the must attend event of the year! Each $250 sponsor will automatically receive two free tickets to the event. To make this year’s crawfish boil a success, we need lots of sponsors.
To reserve your spot in either of these event or any of the other great events scheduled throughout the year, please contact the ABC office at (504) 468-3188.
