The Kick Off Luncheon was held on Thursday, February 21st at Austin's Restaurant in Metairie. Jefferson Parish Sheriff Newell Normand was the guest speaker and spoke to the group about upcoming plans for Jefferson Parish as it relates to crime and improving the quality of life for all citizens in Jefferson Parish.
Normand identified key facts and statistics for our local area and the efforts he and his force are currently undertaking to improve the economy and make the parish safe.
