The first of several breakfast meetings will be held on Friday, April 4th from 7:30-9:00 am at Palmetto’s Restaurant on Airline Hwy in St. Rose. The cost is $30 for members and $35 for non-members.
The title of the meeting is “Breakfast with the Barristers, Part One” and will feature guest speakers Michael F. Weiner and Mark Frilot. Both are attorneys with the law firm of Baker Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC. They have particular experience in construction law and in handling construction disputes before courts, arbitration panels and mediators.
Topics covered include critical need for complete and accurate records; documenting bid proposals, contract requirements and project administration; creating contemporaneous documentation to support claims and defenses; documentation in connection with extra work; diffusing disputes with accurate, persuasive proof; and many other project documentation issues in the complex construction industry of today.
