Every now and then, an opportunity presents itself that is impossible to reject. I have recently been presented with such an opportunity and after much deliberation; I have decided to accept the opportunity. I am therefore tendering my resignation effective June 1, 2008.
I take pride in what we, as a chapter, have been able to accomplish in the past number of years. And I’d like to thank those of you that have worked closely with me in helping us reach new goals.
I also take pride in knowing that the chapter is better now than when I assumed my leadership position in 2003. Our chapter is financially healthy, and we started a rainy day fund which was a vision of Paysse McWilliams, our 2005 Chair. We have made a contribution to the fund every year since its inception during his chairmanship.
I have built and nurtured many relationships with our members, our plant partners, and with numerous associate organizations which I sincerely hope my successor will continue to nurture and promote.
There will always be a special place in my heart for those of you that I have come to know personally and one day I hope to rejoin the chapter as a member company.
I have enjoyed the challenges and opportunities that I experienced as your Chapter President and CEO and I wish the staff, membership, our plant partners, and Board all the best in the future.
Sincerely,
Skipper Rinaldi
