Free Susan B. Harwood Grant training is being offered for the eighth consecutive year. This year there are two classes, July 17th and July 18th. These programs were developed by the National Safety Council in cooperation with OSHA and funded by a Susan B. Harwood Grant. Registration and tuition is free. The programs are as follows:
1. July 17: Prevention Strategies for Electrical Hazards. This one day training course will provide attendees with the knowledge and skills required to recognize and prevent hazards relating to working around and with electricity.
2. July 18: Prevention Strategies for Construction’s Focus Four Hazards Program. Owners, employers and managers in the construction or contracting industry who attend this program will learn to identify the Focus Four Hazards of falls, electrocution, excavation and trenching, and struck.
