Information Collected on our site
We use cookies to collect limited information about the use of our site such as the aggregate data for number of page views and which pages were viewed. We also collect limited personal information regarding users browsing our website. Information such as a user IP address, URL, browser type and language, and the date and time of all requests made to our server are recorded for analytical purposes. We do not collect and store any information about company name, contact name, address, phone, fax and email that is knowingly provided when a visitor registers for an event or makes a purchase online. We also collect the email address and any signature line information for those who communicate with us via the on-line email link to the general email box or to individual staff email boxes.
Use of Collected Information
Information collected becomes part of our national information database which is used to track a registration, complete a purchase transaction, or add that person to a requested mailing. Information gathered may be used by ABC to inform visitors of website updates or ABC specific marketing programs. User information collected will be used to gather website statistics through Google Analytics (read their privacy policy here ). ABC does not give, sell, or otherwise transfer email addresses to any other party for the purpose of initiating electronic mail messages. Event registration lists may be posted online.
Email marketing from our site
Besides the weekly Newsline publication, there may be other web pages emailed directly to you by ABC. You will periodically receive other pages via email. All users have the right to opt-out of any of these mailings. Please following the instructions at the end of the email.
Other Web Sites and Links.
The ABC Web site contains links to other web sites. ABC has no control over and is not responsible for the privacy policies of any other site. Protection of your privacy at those linked sites will be governed by the privacy policy of those sites.
Membership Directory
ABC does provide basic company information on the Web site for all current and in good standing members. This information is posted on the site under Find-A-Contractor as a member benefit. This information comes from the local ABC Chapter. This information can be viewed by members as well as non-members. ABC prohibits anyone accessing the Membership Directory from using member contact information for commercial solicitation purposes in violation of federal, state, or local law. Members can have their information removed from this area by contacting their local chapters.
Credit Card Security
ABC does not disclose credit card information provided by its members and guests. If you complete a transaction on the ABC site that requires the entry of credit card information, that transaction is sent to PayPal, a secure server, which will encrypt that information and send it to a clearing house.
Refund Policy
All cancellations must be received at least 72 business hours before the start of the event, and registration refunds are subject to a $10 cancellation fee.
Only written cancellation will be accepted via e-mail (debra@abcbayou.org) or fax (504-468-3473 - ATTN Debra).
No refunds will be made for cancellations received after that time. Refunds will be issued in the same form payment was made (no cash refunds).
Please allow two weeks for processing. Registrants who cancel will not receive seminar/event materials.
Changes in Policy
This policy may change at the discretion of ABC. Your continued use of the site once changes to the policy have been posted constitutes your agreement to the changes with regard to the information that is being collected and the use of that information.
